HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR/HIPAA PRIVACY OFFICER
Rangely District Hospital is seeking a Director for the Health Information Department.
This is a Full-time, exempt position working 40 per week.
HIM requires a well-organized, self-directed director/manager capable of various managerial tasks. Daily activities include planning, organizing, and implementing strategies, as well as effective delegation and mentoring in a participative environment. In addition, the manager must be approachable, providing helpful feedback and support.
The HIM Director must demonstrate leadership competence, including relationship building, integrity, strategic perspective, team building, system thinking, performance management, safety, trust and respect, effective decision making and delegation.
Manages all functions of the HIM department. Responsible for leading and directing the health information management services for Rangely District Hospital. Promotes best practices and compliance in all areas of Health Information Management. The director is expected to act as Coding Coordinator and HIPAA Privacy Officer, is required to be a member of the HER Team and QM/PI Committee, and chairs the UR/UM Committee.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field
CREDENTIALS: RHIT OR RHIA
EXPERIENCE: Previous related operational and supervisory experience with three years of experience in a healthcare-related profession.

Hourly Wage: $30.00 - $51.38
